Snooping around, as I'm prone to do, I found this well-written article from The Herald News Online, part of SuburbanChicagoNews.com.
The article is entitled, "Avoid Spreading Germs at the Office". It quickly and convincingly runs through why the workstation is such a grand place for germs and bacteria. Then it runs through some other pitfalls of the office environment that make any office the place to be for germs.
"Perhaps a co-worker brings in a huge box of assorted doughnuts to share with all 30 employees, perhaps in honor of the boss's birthday. But even as those doughnuts, sitting on the table all morning, spread good will and camraderie in the office, they may also be a breeding ground for food-borne illnesses, too. Just one office member with a cold going through the selections can mean trouble."
I don't know about you, but I'm re-thinking that Boston Creme I was just eyeballing.
It's a good article if you can afford the two minutes to read it. Proper hand-washing hygiene. Stay home if you are sick. Don't bring respiratory illnesses to work. Good practical stuff. It's worth the time.
When you're done reading, you can select your new best friend from here. Antimicrobial Moist Towellettes.
